'T ZANDT – The police have called in the military to help catch the pyromaniac that has plagued ‘t Zandt for months. A resident says that there are army vehicles stationed just outside the village, equipped with infrared cameras that can be used at night.

A spokesperson for the police did not want to disclose any details on Wednesday, beyond saying that various resources were being deployed to catch the perpetrator as soon as possible.

17 fires have been set in the Groningen village since August. 30 detectives have been working on the case. They are being assisted by 10 experts from Amsterdam and elsewhere to make sure nothing is overlooked in the investigation.
