Anti-paedophile petition submitted to parliament

6th September 2011, Comments 0 comments

Parliament has been handed a petition calling for a ban on the paedophile club Martijn. It was signed by around 72,000 people. The man behind the petition says he cannot understand why the Public Prosecutor’s Office has not taken the club to court. The reason given is that the offences for which Martijn’s directors and former directors have been charged or convicted are private matters which, formally, have nothing to do with the club.

The MP who accepted the petition on behalf of parliament said it would be taken “very seriously” and that a debate on the issue has been in the offing for some time.
