Another hand grenade at Dordrecht office

A second unexploded hand grenade has been found near the Province of South Holland Environmental Service’s office in Dordrecht south of Rotterdam. The authorities say that it was not armed and the building was not evacuated.

On Thursday, a text message was sent warning that there were two hand grenades in the building’s car park. The office was evacuated. Only one device was found. It was also not armed.

South Holland Environmental Service staff have been threatened on various occasions this year. Some have received death-threat letters, four cars parked in front of the Dordrecht office have been set alight and some civil servants have been followed home. It is thought house rental racketeers are behind the incidents.
