AMSTERDAM – Another Dutchman has been kidnapped in Nigeria, according to press agency AFP and sources in the oil industry.

The man was taken last night from a café in Warri, a city in the oil-rich southern part of the West African country.

One source says the man was an unemployed oil worker. There are no further details at the moment. The café manager reported the incident to police today.

Another Dutchman was abducted in Nigeria in March. The security worker for German company Bilfinger Berger was released on 4 April. Bilfinger Berger does not want to say whether any ransom was paid for the worker’s release.
