Amsterdam rally against homophobic violence
Hundreds of people have staged a protest in Amsterdam to denounce anti-gay violence. They warn that gay people continue being attacked. The demonstration was organised by rights group Right to feel safe.
The rally began at the Dam square before proceeding along places where gay people have recently been harassed or assaulted. Posters detailing the incidents were affixed at each location.
Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan recently called for measures to end anti-gay violence.
