Amsterdam is the fourth most expensive city in the world to park your car, according to the Colliers International Parking Rate Survey published on Tuesday. Motorists in Amsterdam have to pay nearly 40 euros per day for the privilege of parking their vehicle.

That is still some way behind Oslo, which heads the list. The charge for one day’s parking in the Norwegian capital exceeds 61 euros. Copenhagen takes second place with a daily rate of over 50 euros, just ahead of the Australian city of Melbourne at 48 euros.

The best parking deal in all the 156 cities surveyed is to be found in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, where the charge for one day is a bargain at just 63 cents.
