Expatica readers Matt and Kerri need your vote!
Matt Chapman and Kerri McGuinness from Amsterdam, in The Netherlands, are one of the Top 50 candidates for The Ultimate Job in Ireland – and probably the world, organised by Irish destination wedding and honeymoon company Runaway Bride and Groom, in partnership with Irish newspaper The Irish Times.
The names and countries of the Top 50 applicants were revealed on Saturday 10th April 2010 and public voting is now open to choose the Top 10 candidates.
Runaway Bride and Groom judges will select 9 out of the 10 finalists, however the couple with the highest number of votes from the public will automatically qualify for the final. Matt and Kerri need your votes!
Matt Chapman is the video director and a comedian at Boom Chicago on the Leidseplein in Amsterdam. He met Kerri 3 years ago on a bridge just off the Prinsengracht, and they have not looked back since! This loved up couple is ecstatic to be representing Amsterdam in this international competition.
"We have been living a long distance relationship since the very beginning," Matt says, "and this job would be a perfect chance for us to come together for a full 6 months, while exploring the globe and sharing it with all the people in the world! We just need people to watch our video and want to help us be together!"
Since The Ultimate Job in Ireland (And Probably the World) was launched in February, the website has received over 10 million hits, 250,000 visitors and over 30,000 people from over 90 countries wanted to become Ireland’s Runaway Bride and Groom.
The Ultimate Job in Ireland team received applications from over 50 countries throughout the globe- all telling the judges why they think Ireland would make a great wedding destination.
“We are amazed by the quality of the entries. Unfortunately, we had to narrow it down to 50, in our quest to find the perfect couple for the Ultimate Job in Ireland,” says Rosemarie Meleady, managing director of Runaway Bride and Groom.
