Ajax Amsterdam has reached the Dutch Cup semi-finals after beating NAC Breda 4-1 on Thursday evening.

The game didn't get off to a good footing for the Amsterdam squad. Fouad Idabdelhay put Breda ahead after eight minutes when he broke through the Ajax defence and eased the ball past goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.

Siem de Jong equalised with a long drive ten minutes later and was fouled before the break, giving Serbian midfielder Miralem Sulejmani the opportunity to put the home side ahead from the penalty spot.

Ajax dominated the rest of the match but had to wait until the 82nd minute for their third goal from Vurnon Anita. Sulejmani gave Ajax a 4-1 lead one minute later.

The line-up for the semi-finals on 2 and March has been announced: Ajax will play RKC Waalwijk, while FC Twente, which beat PSV Eindhoven 7-6 on penalities on Wednesday - will meet FC Utrecht.
