Ajax drops further behind PSV

Ajax has lost 2-0 against Alkmaar's AZ putting it further behind the new premier league leader PSV.

Pontus Wernbloom and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson scored for the home team in Alkmaar. Ajax's André Ooijer was sent of the field with a red card.

The Amsterdammers are now six points behind Eindhoven's PSV after 14 matches.

Meanwhile ADO The Hague threw away a victory against Nijmegen's NEC in the last minute. The game ended 1-all when Ramon Zomer for NEC scored the equaliser. Earlier his team mate Nathaniel Will scored an own goal.

At the bottom of the premier league, Arnhem's Vitesse beat VVV-Venlo 1-5. The result puts Vitesse in 17th place, four points ahead of VVV-Venlo.
