The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday for the play-off round that will decide which teams qualify for the main UEFA Champions League tournament. Dutch champions FC Twente have automatically qualified, and Dutch interest centred on Ajax Amsterdam, who made it through to the play-off round on the away goals rule by drawing 4-4 on aggregate with Greek side PAOK.

Ajax will play Dynamo Kiev home and away on 17 or 18 August and 24 or 25 August. The exact dates will be announced later. If Ajax don't manage to win on aggregate, they will go through to the group phase of the Europa League instead.

The draw for the Europa League play-off round takes place in Nyon at 1130 UTC. Three Dutch clubs - Feyenoord, AZ Alkmaar and FC Utrecht are among the 74 clubs involved.
