Air France-KLM lower winter expectations
Air France-KLM announced reduced operating predictions for the 2011-12 winter season on Thursday. Citing economic uncertainty, the French-Dutch airline re-adjusted flight growth expectations to 3.4 percent.
“In an uncertain economic context, driven by reduced economic growth and high fuel prices, the Air France-KLM group has reduced its growth ambition for winter,” read a statement from the airline.
Despite the announcement, the airline reported an increase in capacity of 3.4 percent compared to last year.
Air France-KLM did not release their previous winter targets, said an airline spokesperson. The winter season runs from October to March.
