AMSTERDAM – More than 400,000 businesses will have to resubmit their salary data to the tax authority. Computer problems at the tax authority and benefits administration agency UWV have rendered all the salary data already submitted unusable.

State secretary for finance De Jager has told Parliament this. Businesses who are unable to submit their data on time will not be fined, De Jager added.

The problems arose last year with the introduction of the Walvis act, which was aimed at making it easier for businesses to file their taxes. The software accompanying the new system is not working properly however.
