In the Dutch football Premier League, Eindhoven's PSV drew with Alkmaar's AZ, 2-2. Although AZ was 2-nil ahead at the end of the first half, Eindhoven's Danny Koevermans scored twice in the second half against his old club.

THE NETHERLANDS - It was the first time that competition leader AZ has failed to win a game in almost three months.

FC Twente beat FC Volendam in a home match, 2-1. In spite of being bottom of the league, Volendam managed to keep ahead of the club from Enschede for 20 minutes after scoring early on in the game. However, FC Twente managed to score twice before the end of the first half.

ADO Den Haag won against De Graafschap from Doetinchem 1-0 at home in an unimpressive battle against relegation. NAC beat Limburg's Roda JC 1-0. Roda JC ended the game with 10 men after a red card.
