ACCESS Amsterdam has new location

22nd August 2008, Comments 0 comments

After 5 years in a historic 17th century house on Herengracht the Amsterdam office of ACCESS is moving to a new location.

From August 27, 2008 we will be located very close to the World Trade Center district in the south of Amsterdam – a quickly developing new business center of the city.

New office buildings are being constructed all over the neighbourhood which is conveniently located between the Old South residential part of Amsterdam and Buitenveldert with its mix of offices and apartment buildings and a big university campus. WTC has very good transport links both to the city center and Schiphol airport with tram, bus, metro lines and a railway station.

A lot of international and Dutch companies have already moved to the WTC area, and more are expected to come to the new offices in the coming years. Thus it is not surprising that it was decided to locate the new Expat Center (that will help the newly arrived knowledge migrants to sort out immigration and registration issues) in the WTC.

As ACCESS plans to work in close contact with the Expat Center and to expand the range of services that we offer to the corporate sector, it seemed logical to move the Amsterdam office closer to this dynamic district.

Our new address is Prinses Irenestraat 59 1077 WV Amsterdam.
ACCESS will be in the same building with the Amsterdam International Community School, so it will be easier for us to reach many international families with our information and services.

The new office will also be more visitor friendly, and we hope to have more people dropping in with their questions. The opening hours are more flexible in the new building, so we will be able to run many of our evening courses there.
We are sure that the move will be beneficial for ACCESS Amsterdam, and our multinational team of volunteers will better assist the expatriate community in the Amsterdam region.

If you have a question about your life in the Netherlands, call us or send us an e-mail or come to meet our volunteers in our new office.

As before, we work Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm, and our phone numbers are the same:

English speaking helpline 020 423 3217 –
Japanese speaking helpline 020 423 3218 –
