A night of party arrests on Saturday

Dutch police were busy Saturday night as they arrest party-goers for aggressive behaviour, possession of drugs and illegal ticket sales.

THE NETHERLANDS - Police in Den Bosch had their hands full on Saturday night with visitors to a dance party.

Not only did they arrest 11 people for aggressive behaviour but, during the arrests, a number of other people were injured, including two police officers. An officer who tried to defuse an argument was kicked in the back.

In Bussloo, in Gelderland, police arrested 33 people at the Ground Zero music festival for possession of drugs. Two other visitors were arrested for making threats and assaulting a security officer.

Police in Amsterdam said that the Sensation White dance party in the Amsterdam Arena passed off peacefully for the most part.

Eighty-nine people out of an estimated 40,000 visitors were arrested, for offences that included assault and illegal tickets sales.
