Earl Okin, Danny Bevins, Nick Helm and Boom Chicago are added to the line-up of the 4th edition of the Amsterdam Comedy Festival, 27 May 2011 at Melkweg, Amsterdam.

This year, the festival presents English speaking comedians only from the UK, Ireland, Australia and de USA.

Ticket presale starts this Saturday 26th March. More names will be added to the line-up in weeks to come.

Two weeks ago, the organisation announced performances by David O' Doherty (IRE), Brendon Burns (AUS), Wil Hodgson (UK), Richard Herring (UK) and Dave Fulton (USA).

Earl Okin (UK): Earl Okin has been a headline act on the London comedy scene since the 1980s. A great musician, a very charming personality and irresistibly funny, Earl performed numerous times in Dutch TV Shows (such as Raymann is Laat and Comedy Factory) and even at the North Sea Jazz Festival.

Danny Bevins (USA): His mouth has gotten him arrested, fined and fired from every job he's ever had, but for the last ten years it had Danny Bevins touring the world and perform on some of the most prestigious stages in comedy. Amsterdam Comedy Festival is his Dutch debut performance.

Nick Helm (UK): Since starting comedy in 2007, the talented and enthusiastic Nick Helm is quickly gaining attention for his hilarious blend of one-liners, stories, poems and songs. As Time Out London said about his 2010 Edinburgh Fringe show: ‘A strong, accomplished show about finding life's positives, featuring gravel-voiced songs and inventive audience interaction'

Boom Chicago (USA/NL): Pep Rosenfeld (ex-Saturday Night Live) and Greg Shapiro (Ex-Comedy Central News) are the unofficial leaders of this renowned comedy gang with home base on Leidseplein. At the Amsterdam Comedy Festival they will present an exclusive preview of their new show that will premier in August. Knowing how Rosenfeld and Shapiro love to mix their comedy with politics, the title - ‘September 11 Forever' - is quite promising, to say the least.

As in past years, VARA will be broadcasting excerpts and interviews from the festival on Dutch national TV.
