AMSTERDAM — An 18-year-old The Hague man was arrested on Monday for the stabbing of three workers at a Zwolle office of the temping firm Tempo-Team.
A 37-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach and was seriously wounded and police said the suspect was arrested immediately after the stabbings.
The man allegedly pulled a knife after an argument with one of the office employees and two colleagues leapt to the defence of their colleague.
Police officers on patrol quickly arrived at the scene and used capsicum spray to overpower the suspect.
The seriously injured 37-year-old man underwent surgery after the attack and is expected to live.
A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman received head and hand injuries. They were also treated in hospital.
Monday's stabbings come after a 21-year-old suspect was arrested in Zeist after the stabbing of three people at an office of the social security service last week.
The building reopened on Monday with extra security staff.
Studies have revealed that 10 percent of personnel have in the past been confronted with violence.
