24 Hour Comics Day at Lambiek

30th September 2010, Comments 0 comments

This year on 2 oct, Lambiek again hosts nearly 30 artists for the 24 Hour Comics Day.

The 24 Hour Comics Day is a challenge and opportunity for comic artists to draw a 24-page comic within 24 hours. The annual event takes place in many locations around the world in early October.

This year's 24 Hour Comics Day event at Lambiek in Amsterdam begins on Saturday morning, 2 October 2010 at 11:00 AM, until Sunday morning at 11:00. More than 20 local comic artists are already registered, and we have reached our limit for our sixth consecutive event. Coffee and meals are selflessly donated by various sponsors, and Lambiek does the rest. Many artists make their pages directly to the web, so for whose who will stay at home, it is easy to follow as well.

Globally, more than 1500 artists in 105 locations in 14 countries participate at the same time in this spectacular event. That is more than last year, and presumably this week even more. It is expected that this year will surpass the great success of the previous edition.

Time: Saturday 2 October, at 11:00 AM local time

Place:Strip Antiquarian / Galerie Lambiek, Kerkstraat 132, 1017 GP Amsterdam
