The accident between three buses and a truck took place on the A2 between Amsterdam and Utrecht.

The Hague – Fourteen people were injured Wednesday in a morning chain collision between a truck and three buses on a highway between the Dutch capital Amsterdam and Utrecht in the centre, police said.

"The buses drove one into another into the back of a truck towing a trailer," police spokesman Ed Kraszewski told AFP.

"Fourteen people, all of the passengers of the buses, were injured -- mostly lightly," he added. The driver of one of the buses had to be freed from the wreck of the vehicle by rescuers.
