The 11th Edition of the highly acclaimed and useful guide "At Home in Holland" will publish early in 2009 and celebrate 45 years of enabling expatriates to enjoy the experience of an assignment in the Netherlands.

Being the only publication written by expats for expats, this unique book is the essential guide for all newcomers. The book is updated every three years, by ladies from The American Women's Club AWC, (a non-profit organisation and registered charity in The Netherlands), keeping it current with local changes and abreast of new developments in the region.

At Home in Holland helps new arrivals settle in faster and more smoothly. Research shows that the average settling in time for expats arriving in the Netherlands is often twice as high as many other countries. At Home in Holland aims to reduce this stressful period with useful guidance and clear practical tips.

Published since 1963, it is the oldest book of its kind and a regular best-seller. The new edition is planned for released in Feb 2009. It will be available from book stores throughout the Netherlands and via the 'Barnes and Noble" web site for 25 euros. All proceeds from sales of the book go to designated charities, including Trees for Travel (a registered Dutch charity), and support for the local philanthropic work of the AWC.
