HERE you are, sitting on a terrace with a chilled glass of white wine as you watch the world go by in slow motion. People around you are laughing and smiling as they walk hand in hand along the cobblestone paths of the city.

The gentle sun shines through the lonely cloud swirling in the almost clear blue sky, and a gentle breeze from the nearby sea tousles your hair every now and then.

Life is truly beautiful, you think.

Summer is here and it is undeniably one of the favourite seasons for many, even the days when the sweltering sun beats down.

Endless concerts, exciting beach parties, and gorgeous holidays – these are but a few things that bring out the colours in your life.

For this special summer, Expatica is featuring a photo from our readers every Friday.
