The week long celebrations in Amsterdam of this 14th edition of Gay Pride (30 July - 2 August) featured exhibitions, debates and film screenings as well as exuberant partying.
The traditional climax was a parade of more than 80 boats along Amsterdam’s canals. Participants ranged from celebrities and scantily clad dancers to politicians and soldiers in uniform.
A record 560,000 spectators lined the canals to watch this year’s parade.
