Videoex film festival Watch experimental Swiss and Finnish movies in Zurich through 31 May.

Videoex is Switzerland’s only festival dedicated to experimental film and video.

Started in 1998, Videoex presents contemporary and experimental films and videos, retrospectives and thematic programs as well as live acts, installations, discussions and workshops.

The festival includes an international film competition, a Swiss film competition and works from a featured city --Helsinki in 2009. A variety of Finnish filmmakers, artists, musicians and DJs will present their work.

Videoex provides a forum for filmmakers, video artists and audience members to gather and explore the images, artistic strategies and new ways of using technology in experimental film and video.

When: now through Sunday 31 May

Where: Kunstraum Walcheturm, Kanonengasse 20, Zürich 

Price: CHF 12 per film, CHF 10-20 for live acts, CHF 25 for day pass
