Rip-off. Draw me up so "awesome" contract that i was on my butt when I was to leave.
Plus service level towards tenants is unacceptable -I believe landlords (who dont pay them anything) get full ears of crap, while I had to live in some trashed place but to think it's the heaven on earth. Fixing any problem for weeks. Not supporting tenants rights for qualitative living conditions... dont get me started.
Karma, people. Karma. It is going to come back on you! Beware of sabotage.

hi,

i just found your comment referring to your experience with housing through rots vast groep.
http://www.expatica.com/nl/housing/housing_info/Rots_vast-Groep_-The-largest-specialist-in-the-field-of-residential-rental-brokerage-and-property-management_.html

i am from los angeles, and about to start my studies at the design academy in eindhoven. i am having a terrible and extremely difficult time looking for housing.

do you have any advice for me?

1. how hard is it go get housing through rots vast groep?
2. are they really that bad?
3. on their site, whenever i want "more info" about a particular place, it asks me to fill out a form, and it requires a "application number". do you have any idea what that is?
4. whenever i register, what happens? i have not received any email and there is no way to log in.
5. lastly, do you recommend any other sites? ive tried almost all of them, kamernet, easykamer, studentkamer, vestide....... a lot of the sites are in dutch, and its just a mess.

if you know anything that could help me, i would greatly appreicate it.

thanks!

Rots vast groep is the worst rental agency I have ever been.
They take advantage of foreigners!!
They gave us ahouse for rent whci was overpriced and later on we found out that the house was illegal to be rent.
Furthermore, we paying 1000 euros per month excluding and Dienst wonen (an organization who checks the legal houses) told us that we should pay maximum 500 euros. Rots vast groep is the wost agency. They are all croeks.

I would avoid Rotsvast like the plague. My girlfriend and I are renting through their office in Amsterdam Oud Zuid and haven't been treated well at all. Our lease is running out so we are looking for a new place and got the complete brush off by the Amsterdam Centrum office. They had the nerve to ask for 100 euro up front as they supposedly have people sign proposals and then not come back, so we did. They were supposed to call us later that day or the next one, and we are still waiting for the call a week later. Needless to say, they should be giving out the 100 euro as they are the ones that don't come back.

I have been living in holland for many years and have several dutch friends who has used Rotsvast, and I must agree with all the comments above - day light robbery, just legal criminals DONT USE THEM

Hi, I'm relocating to Eindhoven in September. Any suggestions of other rental agencies to deal with? Thanks!
