Family fun at the Expat Fair in Amsterdam!
Mark Sunday 2 October in your family diary and prepare yourself and the kids for a day of fun, food and entertainment at this year’s "i am not a tourist" Expat Fair at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.
Join the annual “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair, the biggest fair for internationals living, working & studying in the Netherlands, on Sunday, 2 October, to get a handle on your life in the Netherlands. We’ve got a great day planned for adults and kids alike. I you need to speak with one of our many vendors in the areas of housing, education, finances or healthcare, we’ll be hosting a dedicated kid’s area managed by childcare professionals from Hestia Kinderopvang. You’re kids will surely have fun as they play with other children and enjoy the activities we have planned. The area is fully equipped with toys, books, arts & crafts materials, as well as drinks and snacks.
In addition, we’ll hold several fun and educational workshops for parents:
- Make the Dual Career Couple Thrive
- How to find the most suitable school for your child in the Netherlands
- Easylaughs – family friendly improv comedy
And for adult individuals: Join a writer’s workshop or SpeedDating session, get culture shock therapy from comedian Greg Shapiro, or find swimming lessons for your kids. There’s something for everyone, and families are welcome!

In addition to meeting the people who can help you with housing, banking, taxes, education, and other living essentials, you can join a workshop about learning the language, dealing with culture shock and rearing children abroad – just a few of the useful sessions to get you started on the right foot.
