22/09/2011Visit relocation providers at the "i am not a tourist" Expat Fair

Visit relocation providers at the "i am not a tourist" Expat Fair Relocating to a new country can be daunting, but fortunately there are organisations out there ready to help! Even better: on 23 October, you can visit them all under one roof, at Expatica’s “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair 2011.

Expertise in Labour Mobility will be there with practical, expert information on how to make a smooth landing into the Netherlands. They promise to “help you to become an integral part of Dutch work life and society. You may not be able to get used to the raw herring and ‘dropjes’, but you can learn to cope with the Dutch blatant directness!” Just tell them what difficulties you have in the Netherlands regarding looking for employment, fitting in, and cultural differences; and they will tell you on the spot how they can help you.

One general tip ELM will give up front is that “the Netherlands has a real consensus culture, they love meetings! Keep this in mind when trying to make a quick decision – that is a rare event here!” For more tips, join ELM at stand 95 or attend founder Nannette Ripmeester’s presentation “Global Financial Crisis? So What! - How to be successful in the Netherlands” in the Rode Kamer from 13:00 to 13:30.

Other relocation providers at the fair are EUROHOME Relocation Services (stand 17), Expat Help (stand 34) and Tulip Expats Services (stand 70).

The "i am not a tourist" Expat Fair is an annual, one-day fair for internationals living in or moving to The Netherlands. Expatica's 2011 fair will have all the valuable resources from previous years, with extra attention given to lifestyle and community related resources. For more information, please check out the fair website.

Tickets are FREE when ordered online! This year, ordering your tickets online gives you a chance at two great prizes:
