Teaching in the Netherlands Teachers with foreign teaching credentials must meet the standards set by the Dutch Ministry of Education. We outline the steps you can take to find out if you qualify to teach in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands is the only country in the world where the government subsidises international education.

This means that teachers with foreign teaching credentials who want to teach in The Netherlands must meet the standards set by the Dutch Ministry of Education.

If you would like to know if you qualify to teach in the Netherlands according to the the rules and regulations of the Dutch ministry of education, simply download a form from Educaide, fill it in and send it by email (in Word format) to teach@educaide.nl. On the basis of the information you provide, Educaide  (www.educaide.nl) will be able to give you advice on the steps to take to obtain the accreditation as well as other possible red-tape procedures.

For more information, visit the Dutch ministry of Education's website at www.minocw.nl (in the Dutch language).

Educaide is the International Education Solution House, advising all stakeholders in a wide range of issues pertaining to International and Bilingual Education in The Netherlands.
