20/03/2009International MBA Campus Weekends at Nyenrode Business University (sponsored contribution)

As a professional looking for a full-time International MBA, it is important to find a university that best fits your needs. The best way is to experience first-hand the university you have in mind.

Nyenrode Business University offers you this opportunity and welcomes you to its Campus Weekend programme (3-4 April, 29-30 May, 19-20 June, and 7-8 August 2009). Stay as Nyenrode’s guest on campus, with its unique blend of a rural 13th-century castle estate and state-of-the-art educational facilities. Enjoy both social and educational activities and take the opportunity to meet Nyenrode alumni, current students and other professionals in search of a full-time International MBA. It will be a great opportunity to get an impression of what it would be like to study at Nyenrode Business University. Each weekend will kick off with a social/educational event including a Friday night speaker’s programme with one of Nyenrode’s top professors and alumni on a particular theme:

On Friday, 3 April, Prof. dr. Lorraine Uhlaner will talk about “Making it as an entrepreneur during hard times.” After a very short introduction, Nyenrode Professor of Entrepreneurship Uhlaner will facilitate a panel discussion with two of Nyenrode’s successful entrepreneur alumni, Michael Moore (MBA 1992), CEO Merison Retail BV, and Johan van der Blom (MBA 2005), founder and CEO of The Sourcing Company.

On Friday, 29 May, Drs. Eduard Sprokholt will discuss "Financial Innovation in times of Crises".

On Friday, 19 June, Prof. dr. Henry Robben will speak on "Visionary Marketing," which operates at the crossroads of marketing, strategy, and organisation. This lecture will revolve around how companies compete in changing markets. Since especially in trying times, firms need to differentiate and innovate. Robben will also facilitate a panel discussion with IMBA alumni Pablo Bran (MBA 2005), Process Consultant at Abbott and Susana Gonzalez Arvizu (MBA 2005), Sportswear Brand Manager at Nike.
