At The Little Gym®, we take a non-competitive, progressive approach to motor skill development. Children aged four months to 12 years learn at an age appropriate pace, building upon past achievements as they advance week to week and semester to semester.

Three-dimensional learning philosophy at The Little Gym

Our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your child as a whole. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions — Brain Boost, Get Moving and Lifeskills.

  • Brain Boost: Nurturing listening skills, concentration and decision-making that benefits your child well beyond the gym.
  • Get Moving: Developing flexibility, strength, balance and coordination through varied physical activities.
  • Lifeskills: Promoting sharing, teamwork, cooperation and leadership through spending time with your child’s friends and peers.

Parent and Child classes (ages 10 months to 3 years)

Those aren’t mumblings from your precious little one. They’re actually exclamations of amazement you’ll make once you see all your child can achieve. From baby to toddler, our Parent and Child classes will promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your child during the first three years. Weekly classes will help your child achieve new milestones and prepare for more advanced challenges during each stage of growth. And for you, well, you’re along for the ride by celebrating every discovery with smiles, hugs and the occasional adult-sized giggle.

Pre-school Gymnastics (3 to 6 years): the giggles and growth goes hand in hand

How do classes at The Little Gym fit with what your child is learning in pre-school or kindergarten? The Little Gym Pre-school Gymnastics classes are the jelly to pre-school’s peanut butter! Learning is cleverly cloaked as fun to easily instill important developmental skills like sharing, taking turns, listening, and following directions. Creative weekly themes stretch children’s imagination while they unknowingly learn skills that will benefit them at home, in the classroom, and beyond.

Primary School Gymnastics (6 to 12 years): their confidence will reach new heights

Mat, vault, bar and beam. Each one is a springboard. And as your child masters new skills, each one will propel their confidence to new heights. Our Grade School program develops solid gymnastics skills with elements consistent with USA Gymnastics, the national governing body for the sport in the US. Classes combine balance, agility, poise, and core strength for a truly well-rounded approach to your child’s athleticism. With a focus on individual accomplishment, rather than competition, your child will enjoy a fun atmosphere where he’s positively motivated to achieve their best. Each new achievement leads to newfound confidence, determination, and a desire to continue improving.

Take the first step, and enroll your child today. And see how one success leads to another.
