I'm a guy, 35, from Israel living in the Netherlands. Good looking (so I'm told..), highly educated and with a prestigious job.
The thing is, I've been living here for a few years, and have had zero dating success. Well written internet dating profiles get no responses. Been to several speed dating events and never received a match. My question: can you give some advice to foreign guys wanting to date local women? I know I'm not the only one with difficulties. Any advice?

I am a qualified and registered Early Childhood Senior Teacher in New Zealand. I have had my New Zealand qualifications verified and evaluated by DUO in Groningen. I am eagerly applying for positions in this field anywhere in The Netherlands, however I do not hold a ‘work permit’ but am willing to pay any cost involved with this process. I am 43 years of age - can I apply for nanny positions through an agency or am I too old?

It seems Amsterdam has complicated rules on partially renting out a small appartment to expats (say for 3-6 months) or short stay/tourists. What do I risk if I should rent our 43m2 apartment out to tourists or expats?
Thank you,

I reside in the Netherlands since August 2009. First, as an MA student at UvA. After graduation my partner got a job and we decided to stay here. He is a European citizen and I applied for residency papers as his partner. I got a kind of temporary stamp sometime in September 2011. I was told that the decision regarding my residency takes 6 months at the most. Tomorrow, this time is expiring. Meanwhile, I got a job as well. What can I do? Continue to wait for the decision?
