AMSTERDAM – The Netherlands should prepare for flurries, meteorological institute KNMI reported on Monday. Some places can expect several centimetres of snow in the coming days.

The KNMI predicts precipitation in the coming days and the cold temperatures could mean this will be snow. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible.

The KNMI warns that roads could be slippery and advises people to pay close attention to the weather forecasts.

There has been relatively little snow this winter because of the mild temperatures. Snow fell on only four days in the space of three months. The winter usually has about 17 snowy days.
