Moroccan FM: Dutch Moroccans should integrate

THE NETHERLANDS – Morocco’s Foreign Minister Taieb Fassi Fihri has told his Dutch counterpart Maxime Verhagen that Rabat does not want to hinder the integration of Moroccans living in the Netherlands into Dutch society. Foreign Minister Verhagen is currently on a visit to Morocco.

The foreign ministers have already signed an agreement strengthening cooperation on a number of issues including illegal immigration, the drug trade and terrorism.

They also discussed Rabat’s influence on imams working in the Netherlands.

Minister Fassi Fihri said Rabat only wants to help and he called on Moroccans living in the Netherlands to fully integrate into Dutch society.
