Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende will visit French president Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday.

AMSTERDAM – Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende will visit French president Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday.
The meeting is in anticipation of the upcoming French EU presidency, the government information service (RVD) said on Monday.
The French will succeed Slovenia as EU president in July. The rotating presidency moves to a different EU member state every six months.
The RVD says other topical matters will be discussed in addition to the presidency during the talks between Balkenende and Sarkozy.
