National groups and clubs in Luxembourg
Here is a list of some of the expat groups you can join to help you settle into life in Luxembourg and meet people.

The American Luxembourg Society
Founded on July 4, 1882 at the Hotel du Grand-Chef in Mondorf-les-Bains, by a small group of immigrants the Society continues to celebrate Independence Day and Thanksgiving. It also continues to nurture friendly relations with the United States and offers its members and the public a wide range of activities.

American Women's Club of Luxembourg
The American Women's Club of Luxembourg was founded in 1959. Its mission is to foster and encourage social, educational, cultural and philanthropic activities among its members in Luxembourg and to assist in furthering American-Luxembourg relations.

Luxembourg Book Group

Informal book group which meets every third Thursday evening in members' houses.

Who are we? We are a local Division of Girlguiding UK – the largest voluntary organisatioin for girls and young women in the UK. On a larger scale we are part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

Comann Na h-Alba Luxembourg

The Scottish Association of Luxembourg, Comann Na h-Alba Luxembourg, was formed in October 2008.  The aims of The Scottish Association of Luxembourg are to promote all things Scottish to Luxembourg, raise money for selected local and other charities and to have a bit of fun doing all this.

Multinational Luxembourg chapter of the running and social club. Runs are non-competitive and cater to all standards.

Irish Club of Luxembourg

The objectives of the Association shall be:

  • to support and promote Irish social, cutural and sporting activities
  • to further understanding between Ireland and our host country, Luxembourg and
  • to provide a focal point in Luxembourg for all who are Irish or friends of Ireland.

Luxembourg Accueil

Luxembourg Accueil is a welcoming organisation for both foreigners and Luxembourgers alike. Its aim is to facilitate their integration in the Grand Duchy via cultural, artistic and sporting activities.

New World Theatre Club

The NWTC in Luxembourg has been successfully staging plays in English for 40 years. From comedy to dramas, Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams, NWTC welcomes amateur actors, directors and production crew of all nationalities. New production ideas are encouraged, and volunteers are always needed, regardless of experience.

Luxembourg American Cultural Society, Inc.

The LACS was founded in 2004 by individuals of Luxembourg descent in America as well as citizens of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The mission of the Luxembourg American Cultural society is symbolized as Roots and Leaves:  Preserve the roots of Luxembourg heritage/culture in America and nurture the leaves of ongoing relationships of family, friendship, commerce, and tourism between Luxembourg and America!

Pirate Productions ASBL

Pirate Productions a.s.b.l. is an English-speaking musical theatre group based in Luxembourg. We are open to people of any age, nationality and level of experience in the theatre (including none). English does not need to be your mother tongue for you to join us. We are always happy to see new members who wish to perform, and anyone willing to join on the production side is especially welcome, i.e. helping with backstage, lights, costumes, set etc. We produce one or two shows a year on average, depending on the availability of directors with inspiration and the cast and crew to support them.

Luxembourg Rose of Tralee Association

It is with great pleasure that Luxembourg takes part in this five day celebration of the town of Tralee and that great Irish concept known as having the "craic", roughly translated as having an absolute ball in the most pleasant of surroundings. We are also very proud of the fact that Luxembourg is currently the only continental European country with a Direct entry to the finals in Tralee.

Rotaract Club Luxembourg
Rotaract clubs are part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. This effort starts at the community level but knows no limits in its outreach. Rotaractors have access to the many resources of Rotary International (RI) and The Rotary Foundation. Rotary International provides the administrative support that helps Rotaract clubs thrive.

South African Club Luxembourg

The South African Club Luxembourg is no mystery. As its name clearly implies, it is a place where us South African ex pats can come together, share stories, news, and the latest gab. We wouldn't be group of South Africans without parties and lekker music. We frequently host braais, African craft fairs, an annual bazaar, parties and concerts. Our network of friends is growing all the time. Make yourself at home, and feel free to add your own ideas in the forum or have a look at our gallery.

The ANZ Club – Australia & New Zealand Club of Luxembourg

We are a social club for Australians, New Zealanders, their families and friends, as well as for those who lived the down-under lifestyle. Although a social club, we are being encouraged to forward representatives from the Australian & New Zealand communities to the Luxembourg Government Committee on Integration.
