Health minister Mars Di Bartolomeo has announced that the government is going to introduce an intensified strategy to promote youth contraception. On Wednesday, the government signed a joint plan with the Caisse nationale de santé CNS that will make contraception more easily available to the under-25-year-olds. The plans will take effect from January 1 2012. Young people will be able to get free access to contraceptive means – including the pill. The main aim of this new strategy is to reduce the numbers of unwanted pregnancies and abortions. Forward by email
