AMSTERDAM, Sept 6 (AFP) - The French Internet provider Wanadoo will build its own broadband network in the Netherlands and hopes to reach 55 percent of Dutch homes, a spokesman told the Financieele Dagblad on Monday.

Wanadoo, a subsidiary of France Telecom, is the Netherlands second largest internet provider with 613,000 subscribers. It would not say how much it will invest in the network but experts in the Financieele Dagblad said constructing a broadband network could cost several tens of millions of euros.
