ROME, Aug 20, 2007 (AFP) - The Vatican is to began a new charter flight service to ferry pilgrims to holy sites around the world, starting with a route from Rome to Lourdes in France on August 27, ANSA news agency said Monday. Cabin crew "specialised in the voyages of a sacred nature" will man the planes, provided by Italian carrier Mistral Air, and the interiors will be decorated with sacred inscriptions such as "I search for your face, Lord." ROME, Aug 20, 2007 (AFP) - The Vatican is to began a new charter flight service to ferry pilgrims to holy sites around the world, starting with a route from Rome to Lourdes in France on August 27, ANSA news agency said Monday.
  
Cabin crew "specialised in the voyages of a sacred nature" will man the planes, provided by Italian carrier Mistral Air, and the interiors will be decorated with sacred inscriptions such as "I search for your face, Lord."
  
Cardinal Camillo Ruini, vicar of Rome, will be on the inaugural flight to Lourdes, and other routes are expected to follow to places of pilgrimage such as Fatima in Portugal and Santiago di Compostella in Spain.
  
A route may even be opened up to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.
