Two foreign snorkellers drown, one critical: Vietnam police
Two foreign tourists drowned in Vietnam and a third was in critical condition after they went snorkelling in waters off southern Vietnam, police said Tuesday.
They said the dead men came from France and Russia but the nationality of the third victim was unknown.
The incident happened Monday while they snorkelled in the waters around Cau island in Binh Thuan province, said a provincial police investigator.
"We are in the process of confirming their identities and investigating the cause of their deaths," said the officer, declining to be named.
Binh Thuan is a popular tourist destination famed for its sand dunes at Mui Ne.
