MARIGNY-LE-GRAND, France, May 1 (AFP) - Two people have died at a three-day Techno music festival attended by 40,000 people here over the weekend, local authorities said Sunday.

The two deceased are a 47-year-old man who died from a heart attack on Saturday, possibly brought on by drug use sources told AFP, and a 24-year-old woman, who was found asphyxiated and partly covered in vomit.

The Teknival festival got underway at a former NATO base in northern France where local authorities said some 25,000 ravers were still partying Sunday afternoon.

The deceased woman was from the Alpine city of Grenoble and had travelled to the festival alone. She was found stretched out in her car on Sunday and medical sources on the scene said there was nothing to suggest her death was linked to drug use.
