Two dead in France ultralight crash
A Belgian man and woman died Monday when their ultralight aircraft crashed into rocks near a tourist beach in France, lightly injuring a child playing nearby, emergency services said.
Witnesses said they saw the ultralight crash near a beach on the popular Ile d'Yeu, off France's west coast.
A nine-year-old child playing on rocks near the crash site was hospitalised with light burns from splashes of petrol on his arms and back.
The ultralight crashed after being unable to land at a nearby aerodrome where the runway was full, said the flying club's head pilot Herve Thebaud.
