CARDIFF, Feb 22 (AFP) - Wales coach Mike Ruddock has made two changes to the side that beat Italy 38-8 in Rome earlier this month for the Six Nations Championship match away to France at Paris's Stade de France on Saturday.

In the backs, Kevin Morgan replaces Hal Luscombe (hamstring) on the right wing but in the back-row the coach has recalled the fit-again Ryan Jones at blindside flanker.

"For this particular game we felt we might not always be afforded the open spaces out wide we were able to exploit against Italy, so an extra big ball carrier in the back row is thought to be necessary on this occasion," Ruddock said Tuesday after naming his side.

Both Wales, who beat world champions England 11-9 in their tournament opener on February 5, and Six Nations Grand Slam holders France (who have enjoyed 16-9 and 18-7 victories against Scotland and England so far) are unbeaten in this season's Six Nations.

Wales (15-1): Gareth Thomas (Toulouse/FRA, capt); Kevin Morgan (Newport), Tom Shanklin (Cardiff), Gavin Henson (Neath-Swansea), Shane Williams (Neath-Swansea); Stephen Jones (Clermont Auvergne/FRA), Dwayne Peel (Llanelli); Michael Owen (Newport), Martyn Williams (Cardiff), Ryan Jones (Neath-Swansea); Robert Sidoli (Cardiff), Brent Cockbain (Neath-Swansea); Adam Jones (Neath-Swansea), Mefin Davies (Gloucester/ENG), Gethin Jenkins (Cardiff). Replacements: Robin McBryde (Llanelli), John Yapp (Cardiff), Jonathan Thomas (Neath-Swansea), Robin Sowden-Taylor (Cardiff), Gareth Cooper (Newport), Ceri Sweeney (Newport), Rhys Williams (Cardiff).
