LILLE, France, Aug 3, 2007 (AFP) - Traffic in the Channel Tunnel linking Britain and France was busy and operating normally Saturday after a power outage stranded hundreds of people for several hours, operator Eurotunnel said.

"It's moving, everything is OK," a spokeswoman said, adding that traffic was expected to be heavy all weekend with people leaving for holidays.

Passengers on two cross-Channel trains were trapped in the tunnel for up to four hours on Friday by a power outage between Folkestone and Calais, causing heavy delays at the English end.
