PARIS, May 14 (AFP) - Three television production staff were being held by French police Friday over allegations that they stole programme ideas from the private channel M6, judicial officials said.

The arrests followed a complaint lodged by M6 after one of its executives moved to the production company Endemol, French subsidiary of the Dutch multinational.

M6 alleged that the executive had brought with him a number of pilot programmes.

Two weeks ago officers from the financial branch of the Paris police conducted a search at Endemol's headquarters and seized documents.
