Three Venezuelans wounded in Paris attacks
Three Venezuelans were wounded at the Bataclan theater during the attacks on Paris, the French ambassador to Caracas said Sunday.
"There are three Venezuelans wounded. The Venezuelan embassy (in Paris) is in contact with our authorities, with the crisis center that has been established at the foreign ministry, to follow the situation," Ambassador Frederic Desagneaux said at a ceremony in Caracas honoring the victims of Friday's attacks.
The Bataclan, which was hosting a concert by American rock band Eagles of Death Metal, was the scene of the worst carnage in the series of attacks that shook the French capital: 89 of the 129 victims were killed there.
The Venezuelan foreign ministry said it could not yet reveal the victims' names "out of consideration for their families."
More than 20 foreigners are among the 132 people wounded in the attacks, which have been claimed by the Islamic State group.
