ORLEANS, France, March 28, 2008 - A 15-year-old girl was found dead
in central France after one of the 42 cocaine pellets she had swallowed burst,
a prosecutor said Friday.
The teenager, whose body was found in an apartment in Orleans on Tuesday,
was used as a human courier by drug traffickers, said police.
"She had 42 cocaine pellets in her digestive tube and one of them burst,"
said prosecutor Isabelle Toulemonde.
Police found the girl with 500 grammes of cocaine in her stomach during a
search of the apartment that followed the arrest of two suspected drug
One of the men had picked up the girl at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport
the previous day.
