Strike shuts Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower closed Wednesday after workers at the landmark tourist site began an open-ended strike to protest against what unions said were bullying management techniques.
Unions said in a statement that the workers at the company that operates the site were fighting against "psychological pressure, stress-inducing managerial policies and a management that is deaf to the complaints of its employees."
The 324-metre (1,063-feet) tower was forced to shut for a day last week due to heavy snow.
