Strauss-Kahn lawyers agree to court delay
Lawyers for former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said Tuesday they have agreed to delay a court hearing scheduled for Monday and they again called on prosecutors to drop sex assualt charges.
The new date for the hearing in New York is August 23, the lawyers said. The District Attorney's office would not immediately confirm the change.
"We have consented to a postponement of the status hearing before Judge Obus from August 1 to August 23," attorneys William Taylor and Benjamin Brafman said. "We understand the district attorney is continuing to investigate. We hope that by August 23 he will have reached the decision to dismiss."
