PAU, France, April 18, 2007 (AFP) - Three southern French towns were rocked Wednesday by small explosions but there were no casualties, police said.

PAU, France, April 18, 2007 (AFP) - Three southern French towns were rocked Wednesday by small explosions but there were no casualties, police said.

The blasts occurred at 9:00 pm in Ciboure, Guethary and Saint-Jean-de-Luz near the town of Pau.

A flat under construction was destroyed, a private building damaged and the windows of a real estate agency's office were shattered, police said.

They did not reveal the nature of the explosives used or the motive behind the coordinated low-level blasts.

Two low-level explosions occured last week in nthe towns of Bayonne and Biarritz, both located in Basque country.
