Societe Generale reports 30% profit slump

French bank Societe Generale reported a 30-percent third-quarter profit slump on Tuesday to 622 million euros ($856 million), blaming exceptional items mostly linked to Greek bonds.

The board said that it would recommend to shareholders that no dividend be distributed for 2011.
