Security fair opens in Qatar
A security fair opened in the Qatari capital Doha on Monday, showcasing state-of-the-art equipment from 33 countries including the United States.
France, which hosts the Milipol exhibition alternatively with the oil-rich Gulf state, had the biggest presence with 35 companies displaying their wares, followed by the United States with 15 and Germany with 10.
A number of security officials attended the exhibition, including French Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux and Dubai's police chief, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan.
In total, 220 companies are taking part in the exhibition, which continues until October 27.
